The Wacther loot will be done on a similar ladder system to the VA Rift Ladder, with minor alterations. Both armor coins, first age items, New:and first age barter coins will be run off the ladder. Movement on the ladder will work the same as the rift ladder. The turtle raid will share the ladder with the Watcher. Radiance coins dropped from the turtle though will not use a ladder spot as they are the same from the instances. Only coins from the Wacther will require ladder spots.
First age items will be handled as following: If an actual first age item drops (not barter coins, the first age item will go to the ladder, but it will be restricted to who may use the ladder spot on it. Because there are more spots open for certain classes in the raid than others, the following rule will be applied:
Before opening the chest, anyone in the raid can choose to select as a different class than the one they are on for any first age. This is done in secret and sent to the raid leader in a private tell. This is optional and not required. If someone chooses to select as a different class, they no longer select as the class they are currently on. (Example: If a hunter chooses to select as a burglar, they no longer select as a hunter, only Burglar) If no tell is received that member will default to the class they are on. Once everyone has had a chance to send a tell if they wish, the raid leader will reveal to the entire raid what class each person is selecting as. After that, the chest is opened.
The first age will go to the ladder for the highest person wanting to select as that class. (eg. if a Champ weapon drops, it goes to the person that has the highest spot on the ladder that asked to select as a champ, whether they are currently playing a champ or if they sent in a tell to select as a champ)
If no one in the raid is selecting for that particular class or they all pass or take another item (Watcher only), the first age item will then be opened up to anyone in the raid, but it will still be by the ladder, not free roll. (In the extremely unlikely event that no one in the raid wants it, the raid leader will take it and it wll be saved and opened up to the entire VA ladder, but I doubt this would ever happen.)
New: For first age barter coins, the following rule will apply. If three to 6 first age barter coins drop in a particular instance (or main bosses in DN that drops at least 3 from 1 chest.), all of those particular barter coins will be grouped together and treated as 1 "item" and go to the ladder just like watcher coins and actual first ages (no class restrictions). If less than 3 coins drop, the barter coins will just be free rolled individually within in the group (for people that have not take another "ladder item" that raid). If more than 6 coins drop (don't think that can happen, but just in case) 6 barter coins will be grouped, and the rest will be treated individually.
The barter coins are given out after the chest is opened. No one has to "use" their ladder spot until the chest is opened and it is known how many coins there are.
Obviously using your ladder spot on first age barter coins does not have a guarantee of how many coins you receive. If you use your ladder spot you will receive however many there are, between 3-6. you do not get future coins as a make up
***This change is to handle the situation where certain classes have a harder time with sign ups as there are less spots (Example: Burglar vs. Minstrel). This makes it possible for someone to still try and get a first age for the class they want, even if they are unable to sign up as the class they want.
