Vilya Alliance

The Vilya Alliance (VA) will be hosting its 2-year anniversary celebration in Bree!

7:00pm PST (10EST) at the courtyard in front of Town Hall in Bree

There will be top-notch prizes given away throughout the event during a Tolkien Trivia, followed by a huge tag game and possibly a raid for those that stick around. 'Bards of a Feather' is booked to perform throughout the celebration.

Congratulations to all the 54 kinships that have kept the coalition going over the past couple years. This is a huge landmark for all of us. This has definitely been something very special and unique to our server.

History:

The Vilya Alliance was the result of a successful attempt at creating a server-wide chat channel in late October 2007 (Oct.27). The original intention of the channel was to allow smaller kinships to join together in order to fill groups and raids. At the time, The Vilya server had the third lowest total population of the eleven Lotro servers, and it was becoming apparent from within this virtual world that intercommunication among the kinships was going to become a necessity. A custom channel aptly named, ‘Unite’ was created, and during the course of a few days the concept of using the channel began to grow. It became necessary to organize a meeting of the kinships in order to create guidelines for its use.

Only eight days after the channel’s original conception, over 20 leaders and officers from almost a dozen of Vilya’s kinships met in Bree (Nov.3). One of the items on the agenda for the initial meeting was whether to create a name for the organization. It was voted on, and since then we have been known as the Vilya Alliance.

As of this date, we are now 54 kinships strong and continuing forward.
